DESCRIPTION

This is an exploratory project in collaboration with the National Museum of Scotland . The concept was to transform data into sound by exploring the materiality and immateriality of some pieces from the museum. The data was transformed into sound that represented information rather than noise with no meaning. The exploratory data analysis was focused on certain aspects of the physicality of objects and their usage such as chemical composition, shape, use and memories attached to the pieces. Finally a turntable was designed and the sounds recorded in vinyls that could be played and tell the history of the pieces through sound.
